Methodology and technology
Our collection methodology is based on the assumption that if the data is anonymized at the generating devices the collected information will not be sensitive and will not be able to tie back to a single individual. This is achieved in the solution by using a combination of data signing distributed storage and anonymization of the data at the edge devices.
Maintaining data integrity and trust in anonymous data sets
The Moi system and software solution solves the problems with maintaining a secure data collection by a three-step approach.

First, the data is anonymized at the edge device or client.

The anonymized data is signed with a per-user unique key ensuring data integrity

The signed data is then sent to a distributed cluster of servers that records the transmission and signs the data set (Distributed ledger)
